Alistair Cockburn Unplugged…

Posted March 12th, 2008 by Keith Barrett

ac2003graduation050.pngThat’s right, joining us for episode 5, available on 3/25, will be Alistair Cockburn. I’ve listed his bio below for the 2 people reading this that don’t know who he is. He’s got something on his mind about requirements and from the tiny bit he’s shared with us, it’s going to be good. The bad news is, we’re recording it this Saturday, 3/15, so you’ve only got a few days to send us some of those questions that you’ve always wanted to ask him.

For the few that are not familiar with Alistair…here’s the bio:

Alistair Cockburn is best known for co-authoring the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and for his book Writing Effective Use Cases. He is also an internationally known expert on project management, object-oriented design, and development processes. Dr. Cockburn was special advisor to the Central Bank of Norway in 1998. He has worked in companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 100 companies, around the world, from China to the U.S., Scandinavia to South Africa. Many of his materials are available online at http://alistair.cockburn.us.

Keith Barrett is Sales Engineer — Alliance for Blueprint and an 18-year veteran of the software development industry. His background in software development, reuse, and Requirements Development and Management (RDM) uniquely positions him as a leading industry advocate for Business Analysis best practices. His experience at Bank of America in leading the effort to implement Component Based Development (CBD) and reuse for the Consumer Finance division, coupled with his requirements emphasis enables him to address the combined technical, cultural, and process-related aspects faced by Business Analysts today.
