PDF of Session 1 for Redefining the Requirements Equation: RLA = T-Cubed

Posted March 6th, 2008 by Keith Barrett

rla-t3-blackboard.gifHere’s one of the great questions we had in the first RLA = T-Cubed webinar yesterday. The question stems from our discussion regarding how RLA has to be connected to downstream aspects of the SDLC, such as Design and Testing:

Question: SDLC is an IT guideline. How have you engaged the business partners in awareness and adherence to an SDLC structure?

Response: Although the business partner needs to understand that there is a process by which software is built, we’re less concerned about their adherence to the IT SDLC and more concerned about how well we collaborate with them to understand their requirements. By using more visually engaging techniques like simulation, we increase their willingness and interest to be a part of the requirements lifecycle.
